Founders
Jay Martin is the creator, founder and Chairman of JobSerf. In his (20) year career, he has lived or worked in India, Brazil, South Korea, China, Belgium and England. His past experience includes consulting to over a dozen industries in areas as diverse as Aerospace, Theme Parks, Plastics and Counterterrorism. He has been an employee with IBM, Pepsico, Arthur D. Little, Ford Motor Company, B.F. Goodrich/Rohr and Rockwell International’s Rocketdyne Division. Jay holds an MBA from University of Texas at Austin, a Masters in Engineering from San Diego State and Bachelors in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University. He is fluent in Portuguese and has basic knowledge of Spanish.

Dave Micek, a founder and JobSerf’s lead Technical Advisor, was most recently President and Chief Executive Officer of Eagle Broadband, a leading provider of technology & services. He has more than (25) years of senior-level management experience. Most recently, he was President at the Internet search company AltaVista, where he led a restructuring and sale of the company's enterprise software business. He also served as President and CEO of Zeus Wireless, CEO of broadband video software tools company iKnowledge and Vice President & General Manager at Texas Instruments' software business unit. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Philip Miller, one of the original founders and JobSerf’s lead Financial Advisor, draws on a vast array of experience and has (20) years of financial and executive leadership roles in high growth and startup situations. Phil has initiated and executed two Initial Public Offerings (Micrografx NASD-MGXI & El Chico NASD-ELCH). He also worked with both Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young. He has been involved with companies which have raised over $100MM in venture capital.

Advisory Board Members
Robert Neff led the JobSerf web effort. He has over fifteen years as a marketing and information technology executive with proven success in e-commerce and e-business strategy. He served as Chief of Web Operations at the United States Mint where he built the infrastructure to support $150 million per year sales in 2000. He also served as Senior Director of e-Commerce with Zales.com. The past years, he has been consulting across multiple vertical markets on Search Engine Optimization, customer experience, usability and web analytics. In addition, he has been leveraging the social media to build and manage online brands and interact with the customer.


Bob Maher 
is the CEO of "Careerpilot," an has been an innovative job search coach and career transition consultant for over twenty five years. He was the initial "job search tactical expert" in the start-up of JobSerf. He was also awarded the prestigious "Lifetime Achievement" Award by the Association of Career Professionals International--for his technology leadership and commitment to high standards. Bob has delivered career oriented services and spoken at professional conferences in all (48) continental United States and in several countries around the world.


Peter A. Gudmundsson 
is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Priceless Legacy Company. Peter's career has focused on leadership for a broad variety of media companies. Before starting Priceless Legacy, Peter served as CEO of Beckett Media LP, Design Guide Publishing Ltd. and Jobs.com. He was also President of Primedia Workplace Learning and Vice President of Development (mergers & acquisitions) for its parent company Primedia Inc. A former US Marine Field Artillery Officer, Peter is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Brown University, where he majored in history.


Richard Guha 
has had over (35) years in International Business. As part of that, he has been an Engineer, a Marketer at Procter & Gamble and Mars, Inc, A Corporate Officer of three Fortune 500 companies, President of Reliant Energy Retail. He has also been a Management Consultant, advising over a hundred Fortune 1000 companies, including senior executives on their careers. He has also been Chairman of the Marketing Executives Networking Group, where he advised over (1,000) senior executives on their careers and job searches. He currently advises corporations and senior executives. Richard is a graduate of Cambridge University.


Mark E. Pape 
is a financial executive with over 30 years of experience in senior financial management, investment banking and auditing, currently serving as a partner at Tatum LLC. He has served as the CFO of Affirmative Insurance Holdings, Inc., HomeVestors of America, Inc., LoanCity.com, United Dental Care, Inc. and American Income Holding, Inc. Mark has extensive entrepreneurial financial experience having been the President and CEO of R.E. Technologies, Inc.. Mark also worked as an investment banker at several firms, including Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., The First Boston Corporation and Merrill Lynch Capital Markets. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Masters in Hotel and Food Service Management from Florida International University and an AB degree from Harvard College.


Ed Rankin
,
a successful entrepreneur and nationally-recognized authority on employment and recruiting, has provided guidance since close to JobSerf’s inception. The company he founded and steered as CEO was named to the ‘Inc. 500’ and was recognized by leading investor trade associations. Ed is widely-published and frequently quoted as and expert on employment, job searching and Human Resources by national media.


Darvin Schmidt
is an operations and financial executive with 20 years experience in corporate development, investment banking and executive. He is the former CFO and COO for an e commerce start-up company. As an investment banker, Darvin has raised capital, completed mergers/acquisitions, and completed buy-outs for companies representing $700M in value. He has held positions with Southwest Securities, Arthur, Salomon Brothers, and the JC Penney Company, Inc. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas and a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
